As a church, we know that we cannot exist primarily for ourselves. Christ’s life and his gospel make it clear that having received love and forgiveness, we are compelled ourselves to offer love and the gospel to the world around us. At City’s Gate we wish to do this by word and deed, and so our outreach ministry involves helping others in need, serving the communities in which we live and organically “loving our neighbor” all while seeking to live out and proclaim the gospel. WHY: Beautification of an area that has long been in need of some positive attention. This project is being organized by the Verbeke-Reily Neighborhood Watch group.
Answers in Genesis Creation Museum

We've planned a bus trip to the Answers in Genesis Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. We'll be departing NCF on Thursday, April 17 at 5pm and will return Saturday, April 19 at 5:30 pm. We still have some empty seats that we want to fill, so we're opening up the trip to others outside the church that have an interest on a first-come, first-serve basis. Several Messiah College students who attend our church regularly are exhibiting artwork in the Senior Student Art Exhibit taking place on campus at the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center. A reception is being held on Saturday, March 29, from 7pm - 10pm where you can talk with the artists.
