People often note that our church has an abundance of artists and musicians, a fact we cannot dispute. We have rotating teams of musicians that include violinists, pianists, guitarists, percussionists and vocalists. We love worshiping God and seek to present our worship with excellence and joy. They style of music at City’s Gate is an eclectic blend of the traditional and the contemporary and each service is led by one our elders. Our worship ministry is lead by our elder Wes Vander Ark, a talented pianist and vocalist. The service will be contemplative in style, having elements of scripture reading and simple songs, and will include long periods of silence for prayer and meditation. Due to the contemplative nature of the service it will not be suitable for infants and children to be present. Nursery will not be provided, so we are working with families to make other arrangements.

Born & Raised:
I born in San Leandro, my father was a minister in the Christian Reformed Church and moved about every 6-8 years. So, only 1 year after I was born, my parents moved to Boulder, Colorado where I grew up (other that a few years in Flanders Valley, New Jersey).
